Employability &Entrepreneurship in Indian Energy Sector - A challenge

Abstract:

Employability and Entrepreneurial skill-sets are the polished version of collectively efforts, jointly put in by the educational institutions and industry representation, to bridge the gap between occupational roles and the skill-sets.It has been proved that the 'rate of growth' of all the sectors viz Education, Health Services, Infrastructure and Energy, is directly proportional to the availability of the skilled manpower, which can perform as per the defined roles in terms of industry standards to further ensures the multifold-progress of the organization.In the current scenario of Indian Energy Sector, Human Resource(both Development & Management) is a pressure point for all kinds of organizations only because of the unpleasant gap between the critical roles and required skill-sets. The dearth of qualified, experienced and trained manpower in Energy Sector is not only visible in the leadership roles, but also at the level of basic roles.In this paper, the researchers are discussing about commendable accomplishment&inexcusable in-competencies in the Indian Energy Sector along with its critical areasso far. Further, pointing-out the future scope ofemerging opportunities,both in the government and private hubs,which will bring multi facet challenges in the said sector.
